Organics Bio-Scrubber

Biological Solution for Hydrogen Sulphide Removal in Biogas

Organics provides advanced Bio-Scrubber technology for efficient biogas desulphurization, specifically designed to remove Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) from biogas streams through a biological oxidation process. This system is the ideal choice for industries seeking a low-cost, sustainable alternative to conventional chemical scrubbers.

C

What is an H2S Bio-Scrubber and How Does It Work?

Unlike conventional chemical scrubbers that rely on expensive reagents, a Bio-Scrubber utilizes microorganisms (specifically bacteria of the genus Thiobacillus) to remove sulphur from the gas stream naturally.

The process works by creating an ideal ecosystem for bacteria within an acid-resistant vessel filled with specialized packing media. These bacteria oxidize H2S into sulphate, resulting in a liquid effluent of dilute sulphuric acid that is environmentally manageable.

Why Choose Organics for your H2S Removal System?

Maximum Cleaning Efficiency

Capable of achieving H2S removal efficiency of up to 99%.

Zero Chemical Costs

Utilizes natural bacteria (Thiobacillus) that operate continuously without the need for routine chemical additives.

Wide Operational Range

Designed to handle H2S concentrations from 500 ppm to 30,000 ppm.

Asset Protection

Prevents severe corrosion damage to metal components in engines, burners, and boilers.

Sustainability

Produces a sulphate-rich liquid effluent that can be repurposed as liquid fertilizer for agricultural use.

Valuable By-product

Converts H2S into a sulphate-rich effluent that can be repurposed as liquid fertilizer, promoting a circular economy approach.
